Uitgebreide
beschrijving van het onderwerp: In this course you will learn about the biomechanical
behaviour of bone as the main load-bearing constituent of the skeleton, and
how bone is replaced by implants such as joint replacement prostheses. Topics
covered are: Bone microstructure and bone cell biology, Anisotropic
elasticity and strength, composite models, damage mechanics, bone remodelling
theories, tissue differentiation theories, mechanobiology of bone cells, bone
prostheses and tissue-engineered bone. |
